27-05-2018 Bong & His Singapore Trip - Part 3: Universal Studio

We went for this Treasure Hunt ride
at Ancient Egypt theme zone~
The ride was pretty lame I must say
but OK lar,
reminded me a lot of the scenes from the movie The Mummy!
From Ancient Egypt,
we entered the Sci-fi City zone!
We walked very fast
through this zone....
because it wasn't much things we could relate ourselves to in this zone.
Last zone was this
New York zone....
We went for a show at this zone,
which at first I thought it would be 'boring'
because there wasn't many people queuing up when we reached.
This show is called
'Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg'
Very nice special effects of hurricane in New York!
After spending almost 6 hours
in Universal Studio,
we went back to our hotel to relax a little bit...
I wanted to have some ice cubes since it was so warm,
so I went to this ice dispenser to
get some ice cubes...
How funny...
the ice dispenser is not a machine,
but a room where the machine is placed inside.
I spent the rest of the afternoon
at the Jacuzzi in the swimming pool,
while Arne and Eirik were
drinking at the bar...
not the one beside the pool but inside the hotel.
What a pity!
For the dinner that day,
I wanted to eat some korean food...
But in order to order/buy food,
you need to use this machine...
The machine wasn't working
and the lady on the counter spent time fixing the damn machine
instead of taking our order at the cashier...
So we went to the Malaysian
food court instead!
Food tasted good and prices were even cheaper!
After the dinner,
we realized that Universal Studio was actually still open!
The business hours shown on Google was wrong!
So,
we went back to the Transformer 3D ride
that everyone says
'YOU MUST TRY THIS'!!
Usually the queue must be very very long.
but since we went there during dinner time,
it was so quiet so it was great for us!
We waited for not more than 10 minutes,
and the ride was seriously AWESOME!!
We had like a sunset walk
at New York zone again,
and one last picture with Minions
before we left the amazing Universal Studio.
That's all for our day at Universal Studio,

XOXO

22-05-2018 Bong & His Singapore Trip - Part 2: ViVo City & Universal Studio

We had a simple dinner
at the basement food court
at ViVo City...
After the dinner,
we went to the roof top
for photo taking...
Arne and Eirik walked back to Sentosa first,
while I continued catching up
with Denise
at Starbucks....
This Sentosa free ride ticket
was included in the stay at Hard Rock Hotel.
So if you can get a promotion price like me,
about 700 Singapore Dollar
inclusive of 2 nights at Hard Rock,
2 tickets to Universal Studio,
2 tickets to S.E.A Aquarium
and 2 tickets to Adventure Core Waterpark,
it is very worth-it!!!
The next day morning,
we went straight ahead to The Forum
to grab some food for breakfast.
Besides people who were looking
for breakfast,
there were quite a number who were sleeping there too..
Lol!
Chicken Parmesan?
Where is the chicken?
Lol!
After breakfast,
we waited a bit until Universal Studio Singapore was opened!
The main entrance street
is of course,
full with souvenir shops!
We took a turn to the left,
entering the first theme zone...
MADAGASCAR!!!
The ride was actually just OK.
So if you are more interested in the thrilling kind of thing,
you may skip this one.
Then,
we came to this...

Far Far Away land.
I have actually never seen the movie.
But the 4D movie show at Universal Studio
was really amazing!
Next....
we entered a dangerous site!
The Lost World of
Jurassic Park!
This is a ride that
you shall not miss!
and don't forget to bring a cheap poncho with you...
These pictures tell you the reason why you need the poncho...
and wear slippers instead of short shoes!!!
Trust me,
it will feel much nicer just to have your slippers soaked
instead of your nice Adidas shoes!
Of course,
there are a lot of exciting rides
at Universal Studio,
but we were grown up adults that were not really interested in these!
From Jurassic Park,
we entered another world..
which was easily recognized just by looking at those statues!

To be continued...

XOXO
