This year our Penang trip started with
taking rapid Penang bus from Sungai Petani to Butterworth...
Then ferry from Butterworth to Penang island,
then grab from jetty to Prangin Mall....
After shopping at Arne's favorite souvenir shop,
then Prangin Mall...
we started wandering around
this beautiful UNESCO city...
From Lebuh Carnovon,
to Lorong Ikan....
then Volchkova Indian Women Mural
at Lorong Lumut and Armenian Park
Right beside the mural, Boy on chair,
it is now decorated with umbrellas...
We accidentally bumped into the entrance of Khoo Kongsi,
a local historic museum.
So we decided to pay for the entrance fee (RM10)
and paid a visit...
Besides being mesmerized with the beauty of the buildings,
Arne got to try
the old fashioned ice-stick as well!
And at Lebuh Armenian,
before reaching 14 Living Story,
we took this mural picture!
14 Living Story was already decorated festively
like every year....
and after taking a pic there,
we went straight to a cafe that we had passed by many times
but never had the opportunity to try the cake there!
YES!
The so called LONGEST cafe in Penang island,
the China House!
And yes!
I joined their doodle contest,
not the weekly one but The Golden Rat doodle.
After spending more than 6 hours,
walking, eating, drinking, sight-seeing in Georgetown,
it was time to say goodbye
to this beautiful place!
See you next time!
XOXO
