From Sant Jordi,
the bus drove like an hour,
had a stop at a bigger city,
Llucmajor...
before arriving at
the city center of Palma de Mallorca.
From there,
we took an express bus
to our next hotel,
BQ Amfora Beach hotel.
The hotel is located near to the airport;
one of the main reasons why we chose to stay there
because we had a morning flight returning back to Oslo.
And the neighbourhood is great
with good access to shops,
restaurants,
and not to forget
beach!
The food there was nam nam!
One of the exciting amazing dish was this
cod au gratin with garlic mayonnaise!
After the dinner,
we walked around Platja d'Or...
enjoying the precious opportunity to walk on sand and warm ocean water! The beach is nice
but of course,
a bit more crowded as well as it is so close to airport and city center.
Of course,
we needed to buy ourselves some desserts
on our way back to the hotel.
The next day,
we decided to visit Valldemossa,
a very famous tourist village in Mallorca due to its beauty....
and of course, famous due to Chopin spending a lot of time there as well!
We first took bus to
the bus terminal at Palma de Mallorca...
then from there another region bus
all the way to Valldemossa...
Along the way,
we could see the bus had to drive uphill...
and after about 1 hour drive,
we reached the destination,
and were welcomed with very very spectacular views!!!
The bus stop is right beside the main street of
Valldemossa village,
which means you can see all these touristy shops
once you step out from the bus.
The streets are narrower
as you walk towards the tourist attractions,
like Chopin museum and Valdemossa viewpoint.
We did not go into the museum
(not our thing)
and only walked around the area.
Right beside the museum and Iglesia de la Cartuja is this garden,
Jardins Rei Joan Carles...
and from there,
we walked sorta downhill, which looks like
a terrain for the cyclists...
After so much walking,
we found a nice cafe and had a break.
