On a Friday afternoon after work,
we went for a weekend trip
at Goteborg.
I was supposed to have
a business meeting at Goteborg
on Monday
and Arne had his birthday
on Sunday.
So,
why not just traveled earlier
and celebrated it at Goteborg?
Using google map,
we took the trip on foot
from Nils Ericson bus terminal
to our hotel.
Passing through Goteborg city center,
Stora Saluhallen (fresh food market)
and everything,
our main target was to just reach
systembolaget (liquor store)
before they closed!
We managed to grab
what we wanted and needed...
so the journey continued.
We walked through a bit of the King's Park
(Kungsparken)...
Haga Protestant Church
(Hagakyrkan)...
My favorite neighborhood in Goteborg,
Haga...
before we arrived at our destination.
For dinner,
we simply chose a nearby indian restaurant.
This India Garden
was so lucky to be chosen by us :)
The food was quite authentic
but the portion was definitely not big.
The next day,
we woke up at this Goteborgs MiniHotel.
After having pretty nice buffet breakfast,
we started our sight-seeing
around the neighborhood
plus Haga!
Haga is a very cosy
nice neighborhood,
with many nice small shops
on its main pedestrian street.
From antiques
to delicious food,
we spent like almost 2 hours
just enjoying everything at this small area.
We even bumped into our old neighbors in Oslo here!
After Haga,
we crossed the river
at Rosenlundsbron.
The nice sunny weather
just made everything in Goteborg
seemed even nicer!
We passed by the nice
'Engineeringpartner Automotive Nordic AB'
office building
(Gosh, I wanna have my office there too!)
and Saint Andrew's
Anglican Church...
We suddenly ended up at the city center again,
with some nice men in costumes for the kids..
hehe!
After crossing bridges and rivers,
we ended up at this Kronhuset,
which is a historical landmark
at Goteborg.
At that time,
they had this market thing in this building
but it required ticket to go in.
So we just decided to leave and
see something else which is free :)
To be continued...
XOXO
