My first and half week in Malaysia
was mostly spent in my hometown
So the small holiday
actually started when Laija and Janne were supposed to come...
They didn't manage to catch the direct flight from Doha to Penang like we did.
So Arne and I had to
go to the hotel and check in first...
After checking in and resting a bit,
we decided to walk a bit,
had a Malay dinner (at this D'Syekira)
then took bus to airport to
pick the guests up...
We were the only two who took the bus from
Batu Ferringhi...
all the way to Penang International Airport.
After picking the two tired ladies up in the midnight,
we took a taxi
and rushed back to the hotel....
The next morning,
we took a grab,
went to the nearest ATM,
had our breakfast at Little Joe Cafe (so-so food)
and then we walked back to the hotel
to rest more...
We had very nice foot massage
at a massage shop right opposite our hotel,
Bayview Beach Resort Penang.
And for our dinner,
we went to this Long Beach Cafe hawker centre...
Of course I had to order
some nice local food
to impress both Janne and Laija who were first time in Malaysia!
After the dinner,
we walked through the night market
and then headed back to the hotel.
The next morning,
we had a super relaxed schedule...
Just a simple roti canai,
roti tisu breakfast
across the street...
Then spent more time
walking on the beach...
After picking shells
and having a relaxed walk on the beach,
we headed back to the hotel,
packed our stuffs...
And got ourselves ready
with the exciting bus trip
to the city,
Georgetown!
To be continued...
XOXO
