At Nyksund,
we also managed to see the salmon fish farming
and how they fed the food to the salmon!
How cool is that!
Lol!
And very last 'tourist' attraction at Myre
was this transformer
'Nausetet (The boat house)'
which was supposed to look like that!!
No wonder we missed it...lol!
Then we were done with visiting Myre,
Vesterålen...
The weather was so much better
than the day before...
so the views seemed to be so much better as well...
The sky was more blue,
and sea looked greener...
We passed by the mountains
and the boarder...
and arrived at the second overnight place
of this north-to-south trip,
Gällivare....
There were not so much to choose in terms of accommodation,
so I chose the Scandic hotel there....
Since a lot of restaurants were close during summer time,
we chose to eat dinner buffet at the hotel.
(Kr 169 per person, good for value)
After the dinner,
we walked a bit around this small town...
from its 'sentrum' to church....
then back again....
And for me,
the best thing about this hotel
is that I could enjoy myself at the swimming pool
and jacuzzi!!!!
The next day
we drove another 8-9 hours
through the forests and wildlife...
to our third and over last overnight city,
Östersund...
We stayed at Hotel Emma
and its location is just perfect...
It is located at the center of the city,
near to this Thai restaurant
Chaow Praya River
that we visited (good food and big portion)
and also close to the lake,
Storsjön....
This lake is Sweden's
fifth largest lake...
The city has many charming
old houses....
and many other touristy thingy,
such as this landmark,
the national romantic city hall...
and city park
(Kyrkparken).
We had a quick visit
at the main square...
and then went back
to the hotel to rest...
The next day,
we stopped at Mora....
First visited
Glassbåten Mora...
then walked a bit around Siljan
(Sweden's sixth largest lake).
This time,
we walked a bit at the city center as well
and Arne wanted to buy fridge magnet from this city~
Before leaving the city,
we were lucky enough to witness the trains operating as well.
(We did not see any of that last time when we were there!)
We had a very last stop at Torsby
for shopping,
which was not really that good...
because they had very little variety
(we were spoiled with the standard at Charlottenberg).
Anyway,
we managed to save at least an hour...
and we were happy to be back to the south,
and HOME again!
XOXO
