After almost 1 month time back to Norway,
being busy with works and other stuffs that could only be done physically in Norway,
I finally had the time to blog about our trip in Langkawi.
In early Feb this year,
Malaysia was yet to open for any tourism.
So we entered Malaysia using Langkawi Travel Bubble program
which was obviously the easiest alternative for Arne.
We stayed at this sorta new hotel named Camar Resort,
and spent seven nights at this room at first floor
with this view....
Early in the morning everyday,
we walked to the restaurant at the beach for breakfast....
Our first breakrast during this 8 days 7 nights stay...
Malaysian national dish: Nasi Lemak!
Not bad!
Besides breeze from the ocean,
we also have these birds
(Sorry I don't know the name)
having breakfast with us almost every single day!
Around where we stayed
(Pantai Tengah),
there was really not much things....
(especially during pandemic time)
but it is near to Pantai Cenang,
Cenang Mall, and other touristy thingy...
We managed to walk once
from Camar Resort all the way to Cenang Mall
(did some shoppings, had a japanese lunch at Sushi King)
and that was early in the morning,
and sun wasn't shining crazily yet!
Besides where we stayed was this beautiful,
but older resort Holiday Villa.
We went in as we saw an advertisement for street food, but we got disappointed :(
stir-fried rice noodles (Char kway teow)
Yeay not bad!
On day four,
From Camar Resort,
we took a grab and went to Kuah town...
We had a quick shopping at Langkawi Parade,
then had a relaxing walk towards Kuah town center...
We passed by the famous
Maha tower,
but it was closed...
Then the Legenda Park,
but when we were at the "end",
we found ourselves stuck in the park with many gates locked....
Probably that was one of the ways
to control mobility of visitors.
So we ended up having to climb over one of the walls to go out!
From there,
we went to Langkawi Fair Shopping Mall
since Arne was very interested in one of the shops there he had visited last time!
Unfortunately,
his favorite shop has turned into this
probably due to pandemic...
So we had our lunch
at this Haroo Story korean Restaurant before heading back to the hotel.
The food was OK,
so for the price I think it was a bit high....
On day five,
We took a grab and went straight to The Zon Duty Free Zone
for more shopping!
then had dinner
and met our new friends from KL!
To be continued....
XOXO
