After 1 week of stay in Langkawi,
we survived,
received negative PCR test results,
and with lots of back and forth hassles,
we finally managed to take a flight and landed in Penang.
Our parents picked us up and drive us back to Sungai Petani!
During this trip,
we were most of the time in Sungai Petani.
So before we flew back to Norway,
Arne really wanted to visit Penang and (with permission from grandma) we did it!
We took ferry from Butterworth to
Penang island..
and it was so much changes already!
From new jetty to
new type of ferry....
everything was so familiar yet so different!
The city was the same,
but looked so different....
with so little tourists,
so little traffic...
We took another road this time,
as I have shown Arne most of the tourist attractions already
in the previous years....
This time,
a neighborhood that I sorta grew up in...
We stopped at this Rong Ji coffee shop
at Lebuh Carnarvon...
We were also inside Perangin Mall,
Komtar,
most of the things were closed there....
Even the traffic,
looked so strange when it was so quiet....
But at least we managed to
go into this shop
that Arne wanted so badly to visit!
Lunch time,
we were at this Tokyo Bistro.
Food not bad, but a bit pricey....
and we were there
simply because we wanted somewhere with aircon,
with cold beers
and it was nearby this Wine Warehouse!
We were staying at Royale Chulan Penang,
at Pengkalan Weld,
and the view was amazing!
In the evening,
we had a quick dinner nearby after my meeting...
which was this The Jetty Food Court.
The next day morning,
sunrise and pool time!
And of course,
yummy breakfast at this food court right beside the hotel!
That's all about the one day trip to Penang!
Lastly,
some pictures of us all the way from Sungai Petani to Oslo...
Over 100kg this time!
XOXO
