Yes, finally I have time to blog again!
Last year after Andreas left and traveled back to Tromsø,
we also traveled to a new place,
for our "romjul" and new year trip!
The place we stayed was Alicante Hills,
and we planned well with bringing some suppers for us to cook there,
since we landed over midnight....
We left kinda early in the morning,
took a bus to Alicante city center.
And from there,
we took a train into Benidorm...
Along the way,
we could see high blocks,
and many nice summer houses;
Some with swimming pools,
some with amazing sea view....
The train passed by some orange groves,
industrial areas as well...
After almost an hour,
we arrived at Benidorm!
And it was definitely very strange to see wild pansy flowers
in December!!
Our first meal in Benidorm - KFC!!
First thing we did after checking in - cleaning!
and the first thing we had with us to fill up the fridge - wine and bread spread!
For our entire trip in Benidorm,
we stayed at Apartamento Acacias IV 5 IF Benidorm,
which was about 10-minute walk to the "city center".
Around us,
there were both local
and new apartments, hotels for tourists....
And it was also only 15-minute walk
to the beach!
We visited Mirador del Castell - Balcó de la Mediterrània,
a viewpoint with white-stone balustrades,
famous for beach, town, and sunset!!
From there,
we could also clearly see those high skyscrapers
**that many people complain about**
But honestly for me,
I think every city every town has its own identity...
of course without knowing the history behind all these things :)
From there,
we walked around at the Parc d'Elx ....
and then we walked home,
had a small midday snack nearby
where we were staying.

And after that,
we shopped at the Carrefour nearby our apartment as well....
**which we were very happy about**
On the way there,
we would always pass by this park,
Parc infantil...
and honestly,
I am not too sure what happened to my hands, finegers
or photo taking during that time...lol
We visited almost the same place
"Plaça de SS. MM. els Reis d'Espanya"
where there were Christmas winterland,
and also ice-skating ring...
For our new year eve dinner,
we did not book any place.
So we ended up simply finding a place to dine,
and luckily we managed to!!!
And we had "almost" the whole terrasse for ourselves!
**Q' Bolá Bar-Restaurante**
The food was really YUMMY!!
and service was great as well!
It was actually a Cuban restaurant,
and we ordered something with
and we ordered something with
rice and beans with ropa vieja, tamales,
tostones stuffed with ropa vieja, and yuca with mojo sauce.
**I wasn't even sure what we had ordered,
but someone on Google Maps review provided me these infos.**
and we order garlic mushroom,
burrata salad, and pork sirloin as well...
Overall,
super super recommended!!
After a year now,
it looks like they have changed their menu as well,
at least on the Internet...
