On the last day in Singapore,
we checked out from the beautiful Hard Rock Hotel,
then spent 2-3 hours
at S.E.A Aquarium.
After that,
I wanted to enter the casino
but since we had bag with us,
and it was difficult to find available locker,
So we had to choose to wander around instead.
We had very good time
waiting for our bus to Malacca.
I must say,
the bus terminal in Sentosa
has BIG rooms for improvement.
It is located at the underground
same level as The Forum.
With no air-con,
plus locating at the underground
with other parking lot,
I felt like we were sitting inside a sauna!
Our bus came kinda on time (5.30 pm),
and most passengers were aunty uncle
who had just visited the casino...
The bus costed us SGD 13,
and the trip took us almost 3.5 hours...
We firstly stopped at the Singaporean custom,
and the process was super effective because
everything was automated.
However at the Malaysian side,
imagine with these amount of tourists coming into Malaysia,
needless to say,
things took more time because we had no automated machine!
Anyway,
we reached Melaka Sentral before 10pm and
took a grab to our hotel
(luckily someone was willing to take us
because we had big luggages).
We checked in at our hotel,
and went out immediately for a late dinner!
We simply chose this Far East Cafe...
and ordered some local delicious Nyonya food!
The food at the cafe/restaurant
is pretty authentic,
and it is located right beside Jonker Street,
at Jalan Hang Lekir.
It was Friday night,
so it was still a bit night life though it was already about 12 midnight.
The next day,
we 'passed by' Jalan Hang Lekir
while we were on our way to sight-seeing historical sites.
It was actually a flea market there,
and we managed to buy something that is
no longer produced and
very practical for us!
We walked pass
the Jonker Street Park,
(Not too sure
why Arne and Eirik wanted
to take picture with the buffalo's butt)
Then from Jalan Hang Lekiu,
we walked to Jalan Tukang Emas...
Passing by a muslim mosque,
Masjid Kampung Kling
then a hindu temple,
Sri Poyyatha Vinayaga Moorthy Temple...
lastly a chinese temple,
Melaka San Duo Temple,
all in one street!
One nice thing about Malacca,
is that it also has a lot of mural...
and I love that!
From there we came to
Malaysia-China Friendship Botanical Square,
just right beside the river...
We crossed the bridge
and reached Windmill Dutch Square...
We took some pictures
right in front of the Queen Victoria's Fountain,
and not to forget the Christ Church.
It was in fact my first time
entering the church...
even though I had been to Malacca so many times.
To be continued....
XOXO
