From shops to stalls,
we came back to this lovely Kauppatori
Market Square again...
They have local produced stuffs,
from craft-work
to berries...
and not to forget,
food stalls that attract
scary and giant seagulls!!!!
Got a free tasting
of fried fish over there!
Nam nam!
Then we went back to the Senatstorget
to ride our Hop-on Hop-off free tour,
which is inclusive in the Helsinki Card!
The bus drove us along the coastal line,
and we stopped at Hernesaari Bay.
From there we walked pass the famous Löyly,
traditional Finnish Sauna with unique architecture...
housing area
with nice view to the sea....
weird road
with explainable design...
funny Finnish words that
quite looks like Malay and Hokkien combined....
and etc etc.
We went to this Hietalahti flea market
and market hall,
but it was not so much to see actually....
Our next destination was at another side of the main land,
but we always remembered to stop by
when we found something 'interesting'.
We walked around the harbor
like a U shape....
We passed by the art work
Horizon by Hannu Kähönen,
which wanted to highlight the vulnerability of the Baltic Sea!
Keskustelu Itämerestä
and
the famous Bad Bad Boy
Right beside the Bad Bad Boy statue
is a electronic store.
From there,
we walked through the construction side
then took a bus back to our hotel.
Right beside the hotel,
across a main road
is Kauppakeskus Ruoholahti shopping mall
and they have this K-City supermarket!
Of course red wines are not enough,
so we had to shop for something more....
We had some rest,
then we were out again for our evening tour.
The destination this time was
Sibelius Monument
and we had to walk to a nearby bus stop,
which is located from another side of our hotel.
Through the small road,
we came to this Orthodox cemetery
We took the bus from Leppäsuonkatu
and arrived at Sibelius Monument in just 10++ minutes....
From there,
we decided to walk back instead of taking the bus again,
because the weather was so nice.
Some were running beside the sea
while others were just enjoying the nice weather
at the cafe
and restaurants...
Not to forget,
some were also having their summer party.
From Sibelius Park,
we came to this beach area.....
and it was just nice to see
so much 'life' even though it was already
late in the evening!
We were back to the hotel
around 10pm.
I already had enough of walking today,
so I skipped the gym in the hotel
and went straight to my first ever
Finnish sauna!
To be continued...
XOXO
