Our tour driving to
the west coast started with a gloomy day...
and our first stop was at Gjøvik.
We simply found a place
for everyone to stretch their legs...
and then the next stop
was somewhere
in the middle of no where...
but the scenery
was just breathtaking!
The river was just
crystal clear
and it was a perfect place to eat our matpakke
(packed lunch).
After our light lunch
and driving through
mountains and hills...
we finally arrived at our hotel
in nice weather!
This hotel,
First Hotel Raftevold at Hornindal
is located right beside this deepest lake in Europe.
We got ourselves a room with lake view
and not to forget,
inclusive dinner as well!
Both the dinner and breakfast
were pretty good and so,
I would definitely recommend this hotel....
From Hornindal we drove to Stranda,
visited Audhild,
and then we continued our journey to Molde.
From ferry to land again,
it was nice to finally
use the way that we were supposed
to drive on back in 2016.
We drove through the valleys,
farms
and narrow roads...
and suddenly,
we ended up
stopping at this farm
because Arne's Volvo had some problems!
Thank god Arne has Volvo veihjelp
and everything went pretty OK
except the fact we needed to wait like 45 minutes...
see it in a positive way,
this is the first time Arne gotta be a tourist
and not a driver...
and we got the chance
to experience
Trollstigen in a tow truck!
We were driven
by the tow truck driver,
all the way from Åndalsnes
to Molde.
We picked up the rental car,
which was already arranged by Volvohjelp
when we arrived there.
