Our train trip from Ostrava to Bratislava
was super interesting....
From entering the wrong wagon
(first class)
to not able to
find any seats
because the train had less wagon
and it was a lot of passengers....
There were some nice views
but pappa just slept
and slept....
We passed by some cities
and not to forget...
the border between Czech Republic
and Slovakia...
Since we had to stand for so long time,
we decided to go to the restaurant in the train
to sit for a while...
and also
enjoy some drinks
After about 3 hours,
we finally reached Bratislava!
Well,
I must say that
my first impression of Bratislava is that....
it is a pretty
'old-fashioned' city....
We took bus from central station
to our hotel...
And all went pretty easy.....
We came to the river side,
walked for about 10 minutes
from the bus stop
to our hotel
on a
BOAT!
Yes,
this hotel Botel Pressburg
is a boat hotel
on Donau river...
But of course,
it is attached
to the land so we were not going
to end up at another place
when we got up the next day...
After checking in
and resting,
we went out to explore the neighborhood.
The food price at restaurants there
are super expensive...
So we decided to go another area.
We took the tram,
ended up stopping at
Šafárikovo nám.
Then found this
italian restaurant
La Vecchia Bottega
which was still open late on a sunday evening...
The atmosphere was cosy
and we were the only one sitting
on the first floor.
Food was just ok
and we paid 35 euro for
a dinner for four....
The next day,
pappa mamma (of course) woke up earlier than us,
and we all sat at the top floor
of the hotel...
having nice breakfast
and enjoying the nice view of
Danau river.
After a heavy and delicious breakfast,
we were all ready for our second day
in Bratislava!
To be continued...
XOXO
