Since our flight back to Norway on Friday was cancelled,
we had to find another place to stay for a night...
We chose Venice beach
as it is near to LAX airport
and of course,
we wanted to visit it as well....
We stayed at The Cadillac Hotel,
and some people were having
some kind of photo shoot
when we arrived.
We rested a bit after checking-in
then wasted no time
to start our sight-seeing at this special place :)
From housing area
to historical building...
like this California Heritage Museum
and The Victorian...
Not to forget,
these confusing unattended scooters
which were laying/standing all over the whole Venice Beach area...
(at the end we figured out that
how these were operated...)
We 'experienced' a lot of the new things...
and of course
we needed to fill our stomach
so that we could continue our 'journey'!
We simply chose this Jinya Ramen Bar
for our lunch...
We ordered gyoza,
ramen and charsiew with rice....
and they were really good!!
After the amazing meal,
we continued the walk to Santa Monica Pier....
Original Muscle Beach,
Santa Monica Lifeguards
and the famous
Pacific Park!
I chose to walk
through this tunnel...
and reunited with Arne again
on the pier....
We did not go to the Santa Monica Pier Arch
but as you can see,
it was a lot of PEOPLE
from the arch all the way to pier itself...
From Santa Monica Pier,
we walked along the beach and headed back to the hotel....
We came out again
from our hotel
after a few hours rest...
We walked towards
another direction this time...
to see the shops starting
to close down....
the people busy
taking photos at Venice Public Art Walls
and
Venice Skate Park....
We enjoyed the sunset
at The Venice Beach Boardwalk...
and dinner
at The Venice Beach Bar...
To be continued....
XOXO
