After Kronhuset,
we just wandered around
and suddenly ended up at the Gothenburg Opera House.
We saw this interesting building
but had no idea what it was.
We had a break at a small lovely coffee shop
Jussi Björlings plats...
Then
walked back to the city center again...
There were lots of interesting things to see
I must say...
We went back to Saluhallen,
which is a fresh food market.
Then walked through Kungsparken and Trädgårdsföreningen
in the nice weather!
The park was full with people...
We were pretty sure that they were having
a special event that day!
We were supposed to go for a thai buffet around there
but it was closed!
So from there,
we walked through
Gothenburg University...
In between the big road
they have this dedicated lane for pedestrians and cyclists,
with giant trees at both sides,
looked really lovely!
We were so hungry,
but we couldn't find a restaurant that we really wanted.
At the end,
we found this very cozy cafe
Brasseriet 8586
at Haga.
They served this fantastic lunch buffet
(109 per person)
and the owner was (or may be is) single.
After the delicious and heavy lunch,
we wanted to walk back to our hotel,
but this time we used another road
and came to Järntorget.
The weather was so nice
that we decided to walk more...
So we went from Järntorget to
Oscar Fredriks Kyrka.
Someone were just finish
with the wedding ceremony,
so it was lucky for us to get a sneak peak of this protestant church.
From there,
we went to another nearby tourist attraction,
Skansen Kronan.
A bunch of cute
Swedish guys were having some great time
there...
there are also a cafe
and places to relax....
We took another road
going down...
and ended up at
this lovely garden...
And more interesting,
artistic stuffs
at Haga!
The night itself
was Eurovision night!
Since we already had a very heavy lunch buffet,
we only ordered a take-away Pad Thai for our dinner
at BangkokKitchen,
and enjoyed the rest of the evening
with red wine and Eurovision at the hotel...
To be continued...
XOXO
