13-01-2019 Bong & His Trip to Malaga (From eating spanish food to chinese food)

We suddenly found ourselves
at this church,
Church of Santa Ana...
which is one of the places to visit
in the Malaga 'brotherhood itinerary'...
After that,
we walked back to the main street...
While Arne was busy looking at souvenirs,
I walked around myself
to look at other interesting stuffs...
such as this statue
outside the Museum Revello de Toro
beautiful
old store signs...
the famous catholic church,
Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga....
(long queue entering this church by the way)
nice garden beside/around
this catholic church...
Not far from the church,
it is recommended to go to this pastry shop
Sabor a España
to see how they make Malaga sweets!
After that,
we were feeling like
we have seen
and walked enough...
So we decided to start walking back
to hotel...
but on our way back,
of course I have found something nice to look at again...
which is this
colorful catholic church
Church of St. Augustine...
We used another way to go back to the hotel
and at the same time,
we were trying to look for a (CHEAP) barber shop too!
All of a sudden,
I saw a salon with chinese name on.
So I walked in,
used mandarin to ask for the price....
It was cheaper than other shops we had seen so far.
So Arne had his hair cut at this chinese salon!
With a nice new hair cut,
we stopped at this very local cafe to have our late lunch...
We ordered paella at this cafe,
el Decano del Perchel
and a local customer told us that
this place serves the best paella in the whole Malaga....
Well, according to Arne
almost all paella tastes the same! lol
We went back to the hotel,
had a visit at the roof top...
and then in the evening,
we went to a chinese restaurant instead of spanish one
because Arne wanted asian food!
We came to this
Xiao yu cun 小鱼村食府
ordered three dishes,
cucumber sea crab salad 凉拌黄瓜海蟹
spicy chicken 辣子鸡
 sweet and sour fish 酸甜鱼
and we only paid 22.80 Euro
inclusive of beers!
We were just super satisfied!
On our way back to the hotel,
we went to the supermarket
to check the red wine out...
As not so professional red wine drinkers,
we decided to bring these home because
they were just super cheap!
The next day morning,
which was a sunday,
we went to the old town again...
We came in to this very local cafe,
ordered something that we saw from pictures on the wall...
This dish (porra antequerana)
and it actually tasted pretty good
except that it was served cold!
(After googling it while blogging today,
its english name is spanish cold tomato soup.)
Lol!
another one that we ordered
was spanish omelette ...
To be continued...

XOXO
