28-06-2018 Bong & His Kuala Lumpur Trip - Eat, Shop & Go Home

This time we had 5 days in KL.
The first day we arrived and rested.
The second day we woke up at my sis's apartment,
with nice view
and sound of metro....
What a combination!
We decided to walk from her place
to OUG...
and the road that we used,
has a big crossing
in the middle of the highway!
OKAY!
A bad selfie in the middle of highway....
The walk took us about 20 minutes,
and we arrived at OUG morning market.
First thing first we must find a place
to treat our empty stomach.
The famous recommended noddle stall wasn't open.
But that was totally fine.
Because one can always find GREAT food
in Malaysia!
We had our breakfast
and then went to the market place building....
Then we took grab back to Awan Besar.
From there we took MRT to meet Eirik in the city.
We agreed to meet up at Sri Petaling,
also known as Chinatown,
since Arne wanted to come back here to shop...
From there,
we walked to Pasar Seni...
While we were having lunch,
I noticed this 'warning'
that I wasn't too sure about its meaning.
Does it mean outside food is rubbish (sampah),
or it just simply means take away with you the rubbish from your outside food,
after you have eaten?
After a few hours in the city,
we headed back to my sis's apartment,
rested
and then in the evening we had dinner
with my uncle.
The third day
my sister brought us to meet my uncle again for brunch...
then we went for a clearance sales at Jaya One.
Not only that we managed to buy a nice suitcase
at super discounted price,
we also bought two nice pieces of woodcraft at this recycle center.
Buying great stuffs for a good cause,
highly recommended!
After that,
we also went to Tesco to buy more stuffs
to bring back to Norway! Lol.
At night,
after having nice chicken chop dinner,
my sis brought us to OUG night market.
You can almost find
all kind of stuffs there,
including people selling property!!
The forth day was old friends' reunion
plus karaoke day!
We met up at Gardens,
lunch, karaoke then dinner.
Poor Arne that has to be bored with
my karaoke session every time
we go back to Malaysia!
The last day in KL was also another
busy day...
For morning breakfast we drove all the way to Klang.
Then no lunch because we were already so full!
A little bit of swimming...
then time to say goodbye to my uncle,
my sister and Malaysia!

That's all for our one month trip
in Malaysia this year!

22-06-2018 Bong & His Malacca Trip - Part 4: From Portuguese Square to Kuala Lumpur

From Bukit China,
we google-map'ed and decided to walk to the
Portuguese Square...
After 1 stop with ice coffee
and 20 minutes of walking,
we finally reached Portuguese Square...
where we were greeted
by this nice Christ the Redeemer statue
the moment we came.
We walked into this Portuguese Square
around 1pm
and the only open restaurant was this
Restaurant De Lisbon.
The food was okay,
the price was okay...
but the most memorable part of this restaurant for Arne was
their very refreshing fruit juice!
After the lunch,
we had a little time
to walk around...
and enjoy the view of Malacca Straits.
Lol!
We took Grab back to hotel after that,
and Arne showed me a shop
that he was very interested in!
This is the shop,
Heuman Studio.
They do have quite a lot of handmade stuffs
that are nice and special...
For our last dinner at Malacca,
we chose The Geographer Cafe.
The food was just OK,
so I wouldn't recommend this restaurant
sorry...
While I went out to meet Jui Boon,
Arne was having his pedicure at this shop
right opposite The Geographer Cafe.
What I would like to say is,
don't ever
ever go to this shop,
because they charged us extra with very lame reasons.
The next day,
we checked out our room,
spent a bit time at the hotel's historical room
and then,
we went straight to Melaka Sentral
to take the bus to Kuala Lumpur.
After approximately 2 hours,
we arrived at Terminal Bandar Tasik Selatan...
We took KLIA transit
to KL sentral...
had our lunch at Kenny Roger
NU sentral...
then met up with my sister, Lay San
so that she could pick us up and drive us to her lovely apartment...
To be continued...

XOXO
