01-10-2023 Bong & His Fall Update 3 - Final chapter of "our" Easter Trip 2023

After visiting the Tower bridge,
I took a trip to Oxford street...
Another place in London that Arne has been,
but I wouldn't really call it
a tourist attraction...
Besides visiting it
as a place that Arne-been-to-place,
another main reason why I was there
was to find an important birthday present to a friend of mine...
And that thing that be bought
much cheaper
than in Norway!
So I had the "pleasure" to enter
all sort of interesting buildings,
go into small alleys
to find some kind of hidden shops...
for a small bottle of eye cream!
Well,
I now had experience
in buying ZO skin products in London
around Oxford street area...
I even went into Selfridges department store,
but that was for another reason....
**Hermes**
From Oxford street,
I took a double dekker
and went to Hyde Park...
Precisely I was heading to the old "Malaysian canteen"
now on Google map it is called "Education Malaysia London"
just to join the Malaysian buka puasa (break fast) during Ramadan...
I bought nasi kerabu and
roti jala.....
Although I had to sit next to my bed to enjoy the meal
**without table and chair,
I was super super satisfied!!
The afternoon that day,
since the sun was shining,
and the weather was so great,
I decided to take a stroll around the neighbourhood...
The next day,
for my lunch I went to Chinatown (AGAIN)
and had a buffet there (AGAIN)!!!
This Mr Wu Chinese Restaurant
is at the main street Chinatown
and as I remember,
they have the cheapest (almost 9 pound) + simplest buffet...
But to be honest,
for that price I was totally OK with that!
It is a very small restaurant
and one might feel a bit stressful eating inside there...
And for my dinner,
buffet again
but this time,
since I was not super hungry,
I opted for the option to take away....
**Can't really remember but I think it was cheaper than dine-in
They had more varieties
and taste-wise, probably one of the best ones!
The next day,
I had to do some shoppings
for Arne!
After looking around for a bit,
I decided to buy him t-shirts from
Uniqlo...
as I remember him really liking the shirts
he saw at the Uniqlo shop when we were in Malaysia!
So that could be a good choice....
plus we don't have Uniqlo in Norway
**WHAT!!!**
For that late lunch that day,
I did not go for chinese buffet
but a must try dish in England....
Fish and Chips!
and of course,
I had to try it in a pub...
just like Arne did!
Originally I wanted to try it at this pub,
The White Horse.
but when I passed by the other day,
there were a few guys standing + sitting outside
that...kinda made me hesitant to go in.
They only served food on the first floor,
so I had to go up...
I must say
the fish and chips I got was really delicious!!!
and the portion was so big
**A lot of fries**
that I almost did not manage to eat everything up!
My dinner that day,
at this Mr Wu chinese restaurant,
12.95 Pound per person....
Quality: so so,
and one of the most expensive ones.
They have a lot more choices as compared to others,
but the tastes were just very average.
BUT
they do have dessert!!
and the coconut jelly/pudding was really GREAT!
My final day in London,
after checking out from the hotel,
I hurried to the Malaysian High Commission!!!
and with some helps from
a nice friendly staff over there,
I was informed to come back at 3pm to pick up my passport.
**My flight back to Norway is at 545pm!!
When waiting for my passport to be done,
I did my shopping...
and have my very last buffet lunch in London!
And this time,
HongKongBuffet!
They were at least super nice
for letting me to have my luggage inside the restaurant!
Same price as Mr Wu,
12.95 Pound
but I remember the tastes being much better!!!
May be because I was happy that everything went smooth at the embassy...
The very last thing
was to pick up my passport after 3pm.
Since I had to catch my flight,
I went to ask if I could retrieve it earlier,
but the answer was NO.
Luckily I met a bunch of very friendly malaysians,
helping me to take care of my luggage
when I was inside trying to get my passport.
When I came out with my passport,
they had already placed my luggage
at the "exit" so that I could just run!!!!!
That's all about my very interesting trip plus a very stressful final day
in London!

XOXO
