30-08-2019 Bong & His First Trip to Besar Island...

After 4 busy days of meeting
friends and families,
we started part two of our trip...
traveling to the south~
We took an early Transnational bus
from Bandar Tasik Selatan
and the bus stopped for a quick lunch break
at somewhere before
Bandar Tun Abdul Razak...
The whole journey wasn't super interesting
so we slept quite a lot in the bus.
After almost 6 hours' ride,
we arrived at Mersing bus station.
Yeay!
From the bus station,
it took us 10 minutes
to walk to the 'hotel' we had booked
for one night overnight...
The hotel was simple
and you get what you pay for.
We went for an early dinner at this
Fong Kopitiam...
Good food,
good price...
and after the dinner,
we walked a bit in the neighbourhood...
We came to
Mersing Harbour Centre...
and found out that
most of the shops there were closed
after 5pm...
We woke up the next morning,
started the hunt for good chinese breakfast...
We came to this mural street,
then the roundabout
and saw this noodle stall....
At the roundabout,
there is this beautiful chinese temple...
豐盛港福順廟
And beside the temple
is this nice indian temple
Kuil Sri Subramaniam.
On our way back the hotel,
we discovered this very yummy
handmade

We had to stop at this
99 Speedmart as well,
because...
surprisingly they do sell red wine to pretty good price!
We came to the jetty
(Mersing Jetty Interconnection To Tioman Island)
a bit earlier
and wanted to buy fridge magnet for Pulau Besar and Mersing.
With lots of effort,
finally we found one with Mersing,
but not Pulau Besar.
Most fridge magnets sold there are for Tioman island.
Our boat (to the left)
departed on time....
and it was a pretty rocky ride!
The waves were really scary
and the boat was rocking like crazy!
After 30 minutes,
we arrived at Pulau Besar...
Starting from there,
we got super good service,
from welcome drinks
to luggage pick-up and delivery to our room...
We had our first lunch
with sea view...
To be continued....

XOXO

25-08-2019 Bong & His Business Class Experience Again...

Since this time we could only have 2 weeks
in Malaysia...
so we started the 'vacation' a bit earlier....
We started with having good food
and drinks
at SAS lounge.
We had to take SAS flight to Stockholm first to fly with Qatar
instead of direct flight from Oslo to Doha
because Business Class direct from Oslo was already sold out!
(Never thought that Business Class Oslo-Doha could be that popular)
Anyway,
see it positively
so it was our first experience at SAS lounge at Gardermoen
and it took only 20 minutes extra for us to take the extra route to Stockholm.
Yes by saying good food,
I was shocked to see warm sausage and bun
were served at SAS lounge!!!
The 55 minutes transit at Stockholm
went totally fine for us
even though we were a bit worried that the transit was too 'rushy'.
Well do I need to explain more with text?
The pictures are worth a thousand words...
Lol!
Since we were flying all the way with Business,
we had the chance to visit
Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Business Lounge!!
We had also very short transit at Doha...
So after 15 minutes of visit at the Business Lounge,
we had to board our next flight....
It was a midnight flight,
so we got served late dinner
and breakfast the next day...
Well,
this 'soup of the day' looked really bad,
tasted so-so,
kinda like the instant noddle soup leftover....
but it really made my throat felt better after 20 hours of journey!
After 20 hours 10 minutes (of time in air plus transit),
plus 3 hours at Gardermoen,
and 2 hours after we landed at KLIA (pass control, KLIA train and LRT to Awan Besar),
we finally arrived at my sis's place...
and met up with the whole family!

XOXO
