At 8.30am in the morning,
we were already waiting excitedly for our 9am bus
from Hamburg to Berlin...
It wasn't so much to see along
the highway from Hamburg to Berlin
except for very flat landscape,
nice windmills
and lots of solar energy panels.....
After 3.5 hours ride,
we reached Berlin Südkreuz...
With the help of Google Map,
we took bus to Bahnhof Wittenbergplatz...
and after 16 minutes bus ride,
from there
we walked to our hotel
Hotel Air in Berlin
which is only 3 minutes walk from the bus stop.
Since we only had a simple breakfast,
we were damn hungry when we arrived in Berlin...
Arne's suggestion to eat buffet
was sold immediately to me
and I managed to find this chinese buffet restaurant,
Ming Dynastie GmbH...
The restaurant is actually located inside a shopping center
named Europa Center...
Right beside the shopping center
is this Weltkugelbrunnen
meeting point...
And also,
the famous protestant church,
Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church...
Shopping mall,
Bikini Berlin...
Most shops were closed that day since it was Good Friday
On our way back,
we took a photo right in front of the zoo...
but for me it looked more like an entrance for something in China
than a zoo in Berlin!
Our evening tour
started with visiting
Artwork made of stainless steel for the 750 anniversary of Berlin...
followed by
Skulpturenbrunnen and
Südbrunnen (Lebensalterbrunnen)
Right beside Skulpturenbrunnen,
you can find this very cute
Fritz & Co snack bar....
From there,
we continued our sight-seeing...
passing by very happening
bars and pubs...
(We coincidentally bumped into
the biggest leather & fetish event in Berlin
during our stay)
Our walk covered the quiet
peaceful neighborhood
and ended with nice
German sausages...
and picture taken with
the famous German bear,
United Buddy Bears!!
The nice weather made us wanting to stay more outside,
so we went to the backyard
and enjoyed our wine there....
