After having lunch at "Tehuset",
we continued our sight-seeing...
We visited this St. James's church
(St. Jacobs Kyrka)...
Crossed the Norrbro bridge,
walked past Riksplan park
and then came to Stallbron bridge...
the bridge that connects the parliament house
with the mainland to Gamla Stan.
From there we walked towards
House of Nobility (Riddarhuset),
Riddarholmen church (Riddarholmskyrkan),
and then walked to Riddarholmen
to enjoy the view of Stockholm City Hall from another angle...
The weather was so nice
that everything looked so bright and sunny
throughout the walk...
This time we used another way
to return to where we stayed,
which was crossing this Central Bridge
(Centralbron)...
and the interesting part for me
was that subways were passing us all the time
when we were walking on that bridge!
This way is also a shortcut
from Mariatorget to Gamla Stan
(without going through Slussen).
Mariatorget seems to be a neighborhood area
with lots of second hand shops
and art galleries...
So after a whole day of sight-seeing,
we needed LOTS of food...
and in Sweden,
very often one can find very good buffet!
So to fill our very empty stomach,
we walked all the way for 30 minutes
from our hotel to this PONG skrapan for dinner buffet!
From dim sum to sushi,
warm dishes to ice cream!!
Well, it was really worth it!
The next day,
we decided just to walk around the neighborhood...
The area that we stayed
has a lot of city-summer cabins,
parks,
and it is close to water as well...
From Hornstull area,
we walked to Långholmen...
Långholmen is a cozy little island
between two big islands, Södermalm and Kungsholmen
One can find nice sandy beaches,
nice view to the other two islands,
dog-friendly beach,
nice tour walking area
and an old prison there.
Our lunch that day,
was at this Indian restaurant
The South Indian at Hornstull.
We ordered their set lunch,
which had this shrimp 65...
lamb soup,
chicken masala,
dosa and gulab jamun...
In addition to the set lunch,
we also had lamb sukka and a naan...
So...
our last day at Stockholm.
Basically it was just packing our stuffs then heading to airport.
This area between Gamla Stan and Mariatorget,
name The Millennium Tour at Bellmansgatan
is really beautiful with amazing colors and unique architecture....
The weather was so lovely that day....
so we enjoyed the nice scenery of Stockholm,
while dragging the suitcase all the way to
the central station...
Before leaving Stockholm,
we simply could not give up our very last opportunity for
BUFFET!
And for this time,
we chose one buffet restaurant
that was nearby the central station,
named MBQ.
Although it says that the restaurant is a Mongolian BBQ restaurant,
to me it was more like a buffet
where you can get the cook there to stir fry the food for you...
** nothing authentic Mongolian taste **
These were the food we got the cook stir-fried for us.
Probably our least favorite of all buffets we had had in Stockholm
in this 4-day trip.
But it was very nice already considering we cannot find something like that
(anymore) in Oslo!
That's all about our Stockholm trip.
XOXO
