27-04-2025 Bong & His Sixth Post in 2025 - Easter 2024 in Gran Canaria "First Colombian Meal & The End"

 -Day Eight-
We decided to take a bus ride to
La Playa de Mogán!!!
And the bus passed by
Puerto Rico...
****the one in Gran Canaria, of course!!
We managed to see nice beaches
and beautiful landscape at Puerto Rico,
even though we were just sitting in a bus.
After around 30-minute bus ride,
we finally reached Puerto de Mogán.
The area is very very beautiful,
full or colourful bougainvillea,
amazing architecture....
But the entire
Puerto de Mogán is actually not big...
at least the touristy, coast-line area....
I think we used a total of an hour
and basically we were done exploring the entire area!
We found a nice,
small cosy restaurant
to relax a bit,
and of course fill the empty stomach as well...
We ordered some kind of fish soup,
steak,
and of course beer!
OK food, OK price...
everything was OK :)
After visiting Puerto de Mogán,
we went back to Maspalomas...
That's all for Day Eight.

-Day Night-
We decided to walk to Playa del Inglés,
and the first stop was this Yumbo Centre....
I think we visited it at the wrong time,
so it seemed very very quiet....
but according to info + reviews online,
LOTS of stuffs are going on there!
Anyway,
we had a quick look there and then
immediately proceed to Playa del Inglés.
This area seems to be more happening
than where we stay,
with LOTS of hotels,
restaurants,
people,
etc etc...
Our plan was to walk back
to our hotel,
through the sand dunes area
and Hotel Riu Palace Maspalomas....
But before that LONG challenging journey could start,
we needed a break!
And after almost 3-4 hours,
with some breaks in between,
we made it back to the hotel!
With these two cute birdies
accompanying us in the afternoon...
lol!
For dinner,
we dined out at this Colombian restaurant,
Restaurante Tenderete del Sabor.
It was our first time
trying out Colombian food,
and I must say....
we were super satisfied!
We were advised to try something
very authentic and special.
They were
tamal
(corn meal, pork and chicken)
and patacón pisao de pollo
(mashed plantain, chicken and cheese)....
And for drinks,
we tried a beach surprise!

-Day Ten-
which is also the day we were supposed to leave;
We did not do much,
except walking around
and of course,
enjoyed the very last nice meal outside!
We needed to have
sangria,
and some small tapas!
and since the flight was very early,
as usual,
we just decided to have a sleepover
at the airport!
That's all about
our Easter Trip 2024 at Gran Canaria!
XOXO
