16-10-2015 Bong & His Trip to Iceland (From Nature to City)

After 1 whole day
of nature tour,
the second day we walked
a bit in the city of
Reykjavik~
Well,
Reykjavik itself is definitely not a big city~
So, there is no subway, train, or tram~
And this is their main city street..
like Karl Johan in Oslo.
Besides regular shops,
there are still some interesting stuffs to be watched.
Like this
"Letters to the Icelandic Santa"
mailbox~
And not to forget,
this rainbow street as well~
It is the street where Gay Pride was held~
Walking all the way
up along this rainbow street,
you will reach this nice church~
I am sure the church would look
so much better in picture
if it was a sunny day~
is the largest church in Iceland
and the design
was meant to resemble the basalt lava flows of Iceland's landscape~
And of course,
in the city central there are also a lot of nice shops~
We went into
this handmade lava/ceramics shop
And bought ourselves
a beautiful lava-made
candle holder~
After walking few hours
in the city,
we left and drove a bit for more 'sight-seeing'~
Not to forget to mention,
landscape in Iceland is really one of a kind~
Along the way..
you will see
no tree
no tree
and no tree~
lol!
To be continued...
XOXO
