22-03-2024 Bong & His First 2024 Post - Copenhagen Fall 2023 Part 1/2

Aug-Sep last year,
we finally had the opportunity to utilize the Christmas present
given by Blomsterringen to Arne in 2020!!
And that present
was a DFDS cruise ferry
together with a buffet dinner at the 7 Seas Restaurant!
The food was OK...
but the best part was to be able to skip making the dinner
and eat until we were super full!
After a great buffet dinner,
and some tax-free red wine,
we went to bed and rested well!
The next day morning,
we went to the deck,
and very soon it was already time to leave the ferry!
We got our room right next to
the "entry/exit" to the ferry...
So it was easy access
to both boarding and disembarking...
Since it was raining a bit,
so we decided to go straight to the hotel first....
From the ferry port,
we took a bus,
and then metro to the hotel.
Usually with DFDS,
we only had a few hours in Copenhagen,
and then it was time to go back to the ferry
and head home to Oslo.
So this time it was our first time
trying out their public transportation....
We arrived at Copenhagen Central
and thought of getting brunch at this place,
Jernbanecafeen...
Apparently, it is more like a beer-drinking café :)
So we went to this Coffee Fellaz instead...
Nothing super special,
but the food was above average for Scandinavian level,
plus the atmosphere was really cosy!
**Recommended**
Same procedure everywhere we go.
Shopping alcohol at a local shop
is a must-do thing!
After that,
we headed back to the hotel for check-in
and getting some rests!
We stayed at this City Hotel Nebo,
which is right beside Copenhagen central station.
**First hotel I have ever encountered that provides info about flights*
And from the hotel,
of course it is not far to walk to most of the tourist attractions.
Just on our way to the dinner place,
we already past Tivoli!
Same procedure as well,
when we travel in Europe,
and we are super hungry,
we go for buffet!
Our first dinner buffet in Copenhagen
was at this franchise restaurant named Dalle Valle.
Interesting interior,
great food for a good price
**Even got discount with their app**
Not to forget,
having interesting shows by looking at
the local too :)
After a super heavy buffet,
we decided to walk for a bit before going back to the hotel.
So, we walked towards Sankt Jørgens Sø,
a park with small lakes
and a space & astronomy research center
named Planetarium.
The next day morning,
we walked to a tourist attraction
that Arne had never visited,
despite already been to Copenhagen a few times!
Before reaching there,
we passed by many nice buildings,
like these art museums
Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek
and Thorvaldsens museum.
