10-03-2017 Bong & From Chinatown to Bogyoke Aung San Market

After the dinner,
we spent some time
walking around the Chinatown....
We didn't spend so much time there
since we were already kinda tired
after a whole busy day with flight early in the morning,
walk at the lake side and pagoda....
etc etc.
and Chinatown itself also doesn't
offer so much things for shopping...
We woke up the next day
with full energy but empty in the stomach...
The buffet breakfast at
the hotel we stayed, Hotel Novel
didn't serve big variety of food....
But we still managed to get more than enough
to fill our empty stomachs!
After the breakfast,
it was time to go out again...
This time our destination was
Bogyoke Aung San Market,
a famous bazaar
where you can find lots of things to shop!!!!
The bazaar is actually not so far
from our hotel,
but due to the heavy traffic
(which happens almost 24 - 7),
we did use some time to reach the destination....
So while being trapped in the traffic,
we also took the chance to see more of
downtown Yangon city....
After about 20 minutes,
we finally reached Bogyoke Aung San Market.
Since the market was kinda big,
we agreed to split up
and then meet up again after 2 hours.
They sell all kind of things,
from shoes to
drawings...
but I truly doubt the quality of the shoes.
Perhaps that's the reason they sell in such big amount
because the shoes do not last for long? lol!
Another famous things
in Myanmar
are their jade and wood handcraft.
Just like the other trips we had,
we also bought postcards
and tried to send them to our friends in Norway.
We walked around the market
and couldn't find
a proper cafe to sit and write the postcards...
So this was the only possible way to do it!
When we bought the postcards,
we were smart enough to ask the seller
where we could find a post office.
See that little tiny sign?
I must say we wouldn't manage to find it
if the seller did not show us where it located.

To be continued....
XOXO
