09-06-2018 Bong & His Malacca Trip - Part 2: The Typical Tourist Tour in Malacca

We walked towards
St. Paul Church...
which is ruins of
a stored church with tombstones...
As we were getting higher,
we could see nicer view of Malacca city...
It was humid and warm,
and it wasn't as low as we though;
so the moment we reached there,
it was like we just had exercised!
Part of the church actually
did crack up
when we was there!
Luckily no one got hit!
Yeay yea
There is a well
BUT it is NOT a WISHING WELL!
Guess people just throw money into a well
whenever they see a well!
We used another pathway
to walk down...
which lead us to A Famosa!
It was coincidence that they had this
cycling event on that day.
So it was crowded....
We walked into shopping malls
at Dataran Merdeka
just for some aircon,
and of course some necessary shopping
and small break for our legs too!
After having small rest
with the coffee and cake,
we continued the sight-seeing...
At Taman Merdeka,
they have old planes and train
which they turned into souvenir stores
and exhibition.
From Dataran Merdeka
to Maritim Museum,
we walked and walked...
until we came to
the Malacca river again...
Passing Bastion Middleburg,
then the bridge,
then the Hard Rock shop for Eirik to buy his Hard Rock t-shirt,
then back to Jonker Street again...
The sky was getting cloudy
and grey.
We were kinda lucky to reach
kinda near to our hotel
when the rain started to pour!
After the rain stopped,
I decided to go to the nearest laundry
(based on google map)
to get our clothes washed.
The nearest one was close so I had to go somewhere else!
Luckily not too far from the closest one,
I managed to find this self-service laundry.
In the evening,
I decided to have simple dinner
at Jonker Street...
since we would be spending the rest of the night there anyway.
The main eating spot,
with some tables and chairs
is right beside Guang Fu Kong temple.
It was Sunday night
at Jonker Street,
so the night ended actually pretty early.
Our last agenda
was some drinking at The Irish Harp...
That's it and Good Night!

XOXO
