15-10-2017 Bong & His First Time in Prague

Thanks to Norwegian,
we managed to buy cheap tickets (700 Kr per person - Return!)
and travel to Prague for our first time!
Our day in Prague started a bit
cloudy in the morning.
At 1030 am, we already landed in Prague.
We took a taxi from the airport
to our 'hotel' in city center.
That costed us about 700 Kr
and we got a discount voucher if we order the taxi service again
back to the airport.
But trust me,
it is not difficult to take bus to the city and it is much cheaper!
We arrived around 11am
at this Rezidence Davids,
dropped our luggage there since it was before check-in time,
and started our sight-seeing tour right away!
We knew our direction
and we managed to come to the old town....
But when we were looking for tourist attractions
that we had planned to go to,
we were totally lost.
My itinerary was in English,
and all signs were in Czech!!!
We decided to just walk around,
followed the crowd...
Yes!!
We managed to come to The Powder Tower (Prašná brána)
-City gate built in the 15th century and restored after being damaged in the Battle of Prague.-
We then continued just wandering around...
and there are tones of nice shops at that area,
selling souvenirs,
alcohol,
food, etc etc....
Not just souvenir shops,
you will find a lot of casino
around the corner as well!
The clock was ticking,
and I knew we just needed to rush to our next tourist attraction.
It was soon 12 o'clock
and we saw there was already lots of people
waiting there to see the Astronomical Clock!
The tower was under some works at that time,
so we couldn't see the best of it.
But the little show was still pretty fastcnating!
After that,
we continued the sight-seeing....
with Arne looking more at the shops
and me looking more at the buildings. Lol!
We passed by Estates Theater,
one of the oldest theaters in Prague.
After a while,
we started to feel hungry...
and we wanted to eat something nice!
With the help of Google Maps,
we managed to find the 'best' food...
not in Prague...but the best fast food I would say!
Paying less than 100 Kr for our lunch,
we were very satisfied with KFC we got!
For your info,
we don't have KFC here in Norway!!!
From there,
we walked towards the river for more sight-seeing of the day!

To be continued....
XOXO
-Bong-
